Stabilized periscopes are used in main battle tanks and armored vehicles for observation and targeting while driving. They allow the commander and gunners to quickly observe the vehicle surroundings, and recognize, assign and engage targets. Stabilization delivers a steady image – at all speeds, on paved roads and terrain. Gyroscope stabilization compensates vehicle movements and vibrations. An integrated thermal imager enables observation during the day, at night and in poor weather conditions. The integrated laser rangefinder delivers target data directly to the fire control system and connected command & control information systems. | |
